Senior ESG Reporting Manager

Responsibilities:

The Europe Senior ESG Reporting Manager will collaborate with senior business and finance stakeholders to ensure that external ESG disclosures across European entities are fair, balanced, understandable, and compliant with applicable disclosure requirements.

- This is a unique opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving area of high interest to regulators, investors, and the broader market. ESG-related disclosure rules and regulations are developing across jurisdictions, and this role plays a key part in understanding those requirements and ensuring their effective implementation across external reporting for multiple European entities (including Continental Europe, HBEU, Malta, and others as applicable)
- Lead the design, execution, and documentation of ESG disclosures and related control frameworks to ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable reporting of non-financial data
- Monitor and update senior management on regulatory developments, particularly in relation to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and other relevant ESG frameworks
- Oversee and support the resolution of ESG-related data challenges in collaboration with Data Architecture and Finance Change Delivery teams
- Develop and manage control and assurance processes aligned with CSRD expectations for limited or reasonable assurance of ESG disclosures
- Engage with and support the broader corporate climate strategy and its implications across relevant European entities
- Actively consult, support, and coordinate with key internal stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Sustainability, and Reporting teams

Requirements:

- Minimum 7 years of experience in the financial sector, ideally with a background in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis as well as evolving regulatory reporting requirements
- Familiarity with the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) is advantageous, though not essential
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to connect data, performance drivers, and real-world business events
- A degree in a quantitative discipline; a professional finance qualification (e.g. Qualified Accountant) is strongly preferred
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment
- Proven project management skills, including process optimisation and implementation of governance structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills – able to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and respond to emerging challenges
- Comfortable working within complex, global environments and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluent English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is an advantage
