We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

Finance Analyst

Responsibilities:

- Support the Finance Lead, Value Stream Leads, and Programme Managers in driving financial performance management across the Retail Banking & Strategy Technology team
- Assist in managing budgeting, strategic planning, and financial communications while identifying financial risks or issues
- Maintain and update resource and cost management tools
- Contribute to financial planning, management, and reporting (including budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with central teams and stakeholders)
- Analyze monthly variances in direct costs and governed charges and validate explanations for diverse audiences
- Develop financial and non-financial metrics to support direct and indirect charges, using industry best practices
- Support with ad hoc analysis and MI reporting as required
- Conduct regular data quality checks on financial information

Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of AOP (Annual Operating Plan) planning, project lifecycles, and financial principles
- Experience managing complex data sets and working with EUCs (End User Computing tools), including automation and remediation
- Familiarity with corporate values, structures, and objectives in a global financial environment
- Project management skills, including the ability to build efficient processes and governance frameworks
- Understanding of finance, risk, and control systems
- Advanced Excel skills (including macros and data analysis) and strong PowerPoint proficiency are essential
- Experience in business support activities, data analysis, and reporting
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and manage emerging issues effectively
- Comfortable working within a complex, global organizational structure
